I am moved in

I got moved in two weeks ago but the place is still a mess. Hopefully in another week or so it should be in good enough shape to take some final pictures. After that I might retire from the blog world unless anyone has some good suggestions for me to blog about. In the meantime enjoy this video.

Ready to start painting

All the hardiboard should be finished up today. The brick has been installed and the place where you see wood stone is going to be installed.

I am super stoked about my front door. It wasn't cheep but I think it was worth it.

Its kinda hard to tell what this picture is of. Its in my mudroom by the door in from the garage. The Carpenters did a bang up job on it.

This is in the great room. Its hard to picture how this will turn out. There will be built in cabinets on both sides of the fireplace. I am install thin brick around the fireplace and up to the ceiling. And the plan is to have a flat screen above the mantel.

Just another view of the exterior from 2700 east

Slowly moving along

The framers finished about a week ago and today the roofers finished.

The plumbers were in last week to rough in all the plumbing fixtures. Its hard to tell what is going on in the picture to the left, but thats where my urinal will be installed. On the right is the jetted tub and part of the shower in the master bath.

First Floor Framing

I haven't posted anything in awhile because pouring the basement floor and grading the lot aren't that exciting. Our framing crew is cruising. Second Floor will be going on tomorrow and we should have a roof on by the end of the week.

Susie and Jim have been asking me for awhile to post a pic of their home that is being built side by side with mine. I can't wait to have Ella and Leah as my neighbors.

Spring is Officially Here!

Today just so happens to be one of my favorites with the begining of the baseball season. Hopefully my cards can put it together this year with a bunch of ragtags and rookies. Who knows what the season will bring. There is nothing better than that hope that your team can come out on top after the long grind of the baseball season. Go CARDS!

Foundation

Yesterday the foundation was poured and today the forms were stripped off. The sub-rough plumbing(the underground plumbing and sewer pipes) will be done tomorrow. On friday the window wells are getting installed and the foundation will be sprayed to protect against moisture.
